Content marketing: How to get bankable results!

If you have been wondering just how effective content marketing can be, you will find the following brief post really interesting!

Content marketing in action

Yesterday on my marketing blog, I launched my new content marketing program.  Ironically, the launch itself became a great example of just how powerful this form of marketing is, when used correctly.  The program was launched exclusively using content marketing and already has its first members in place; ready to start attracting clients and sales into their business.

The first person to join me, did so within 20 minutes of yesterday’s post!

Without spending a penny on advertising, I was able to get the launch of my new program in front of thousands of business owners; the vast majority of whom would benefit massively from joining the program.  I have used a great content marketing strategy, to build a large targeted readership of prospective clients.  Then, when I have something to offer them, the response is always amazing.

Content marketing is usually very poorly handled

Many bloggers work hard trying to attract clients, but they get just a trickle of business from all their efforts.  They wrongly assume that by blogging about their subject and sharing their posts on social networks, they will build the kind of targeted following required to attract clients or sales.  Of course, it isn’t.  In fact, that approach is being used by just about every blogger I have seen, who is struggling.

There are a number of things that need to be done correctly and in the right order, before you can start achieving tangible, bankable results.  You can waste years of your life and countless opportunities, by getting it wrong.  No matter how hard you row your boat in the wrong direction, you won’t get where you want to be.

Agree totally. On my MPT blog, a post that I wrote a year ago got a click through to the product page and a sign-up. Content marketing in action :)

Thanks for sharing your experience, Barney. As you say, those old posts can be marketing gold dust.

  2. It’s also good to mention that SEO plays a large role in content marketing. It’s good to access targeted keywords and have them placed internally and externally on your site. Having optimized keywords in your content will help Search engines distinguish your post. If you don’t have these keywords your content will be treated poorly…

Hi Jonathan. Absolutely right regarding the need for great SEO. Although this blog is new, I have already mentioned SEO a great deal.

  3. Utilizing keywords in your content is necessary. However, it must be done naturally. Too many keywords looks spammy. The best place to put keywords is at the beginning of the title or headline.
